Is your student's misbehavior a sign they are experiencing sensory processing challenges?
It might be - which is why we created 'Understanding Behavior In The Classroom: Sensory Foundations That Promote A Calm & Focused Classroom".
Frequently - not all the time, but frequently, challenges with sensory processing can visualize as bad behavior. And to someone who is not familiar with sensory processing, these behaviors can seem intentional & be very frustrating.
The reality is that in this situation, the student is just trying to do their best with a dis regulated, distracted, inefficient sensory system. Sensory processing challenges can have a huge impact on a child's success at school.

- Provide explanation of sensory processing
- Go over sensory challenges in the classroom & provide solutions
- Discuss communicating observations with administration & parents (+ provide communication tools )
